today we had four presentations. Claire and Emma went first. They talked about rap as a musical and cultural movement. It appeared in the USA in the early 1970s ( au début des années 70 ). It has lyrics about violence and sex and sociopolitical problems. They used Eminem as an example of this movement. He is the best selling solo artist in rap in the USA. Marie-Sarah and Imane told us about French rap artist Orelsan, and said that he was speaking about reality. Camille and Alexiane also mentioned rap with a musician called Vin's. They quoted ( Elles ont cité ) lyrics in French. Kenza, Manon and Hugo tried to talk the teacher out of the presentation, but it didn't work.
