Spaces & Exchanges 2

Candyman .../... Today we finished working on the video. We found that there was a woman wha was smoking when the story began being told by another woman (the narrator).  The story is about Claire, we already know this. In the end, Candyman appeared and killed Claire and the baby, and drove Billy crazy.  But it really was a Friend Of A Friend story, an urban legend. Warm Up The Winchester heiress tourism a story / history the dead (the quick and the dead) le <h> ne se prononce pas dans: heir, heiress herb, herbal hour honor honest

The Story of Candyman Today we started working on a new notion. We listened to a video document. Here's what we understood. It's about the spooky tale of Candyman. Claire is dating Billy, a bad boy on a motorcycle. They're in a house together. She wants to give him what she never gave to Michael, another boy. She tells him that if he says Candyman 5 times in a mirror, he'll appear behind you, near your neck . He has a hook . When she tells her story, there's a eerie , menacing music box tune ; it has the same atmosphere as in the Dead Silence  movie, or the Riverdale series. This sounds like other famous stories people used to tell children to scare / frighten them, like the Bloody Mary story or the one about the White Lady. Warm Up an experience / an experiment the 4th wall / through the looking-glass devoid of oxygen Georges de la Tour

Do You Want To Be An Avatar After Your Death? Today we scanned the last text from our sequence. Here are the things we think we understood: - The document deals with a website. - It's an article from a newspaper called Metro. - It tells the story of people who want to live forever. - The website is called eterni.me. - In the end of the text, we could read "Nobody wants to be forgotten," after our death, everybody could speak with us. - to become an avatar ( to change oneself into avatar ), one must do it while alive. - the website is like the Black Mirror episode: the website uses all the things you say online on social networks, like Facebook or Twitter. - they say we have to sign up while we are alive. - There are people who agree with this idea, and who would like to test it because they're ill, others who think it's blasphemous . Warm Up unfinished -> inachevé(e) Tolkien -> [tolki:n] Middle-Earth -> la terre du milieu The Hobbit ...
