The Story of Candyman
Today we started working on a new notion. We listened to a video document. Here's what we understood.
It's about the spooky tale of Candyman. Claire is dating Billy, a bad boy on a motorcycle. They're in a house together. She wants to give him what she never gave to Michael, another boy.
She tells him that if he says Candyman 5 times in a mirror, he'll appear behind you, near your neck. He has a hook. When she tells her story, there's a eerie, menacing music box tune ; it has the same atmosphere as in the Dead Silence movie, or the Riverdale series.
This sounds like other famous stories people used to tell children to scare / frighten them, like the Bloody Mary story or the one about the White Lady.
