Brown vs board of education of Topeka 1954
It's an article from the NY Times / published in Oct. 28th, 1984, and written by Thomas Pynchon.
- It deals with Luddites as a group of organized, masked and anonymous men. They were violent and they destroyed a lot of things, and they flourished in GB in the 19th century.
- They didn't like the machines because they were losing their jobs, and they felt the machines had replaced them.
- The Luddites didn't swear allegiance to the British king but to their King, a "King Lud."
- There was a man who was in favor of the Luddites and who wrote a poem for them.
- The word "Luddite" is still polemical.
