To sum it all up, it can indeed be progress and this topic illustrates the notion in so much as (=because) these earphones are innovative and enable us (=allow us) to speak and understand everyone in the whole world. However, there's no denying that it calls into question language learning, since it could very well make it all but (=but) useless.
